Dear WNYC,
Today at the yoga studio we did a class where the proceeds went to you! I made a radio inspired mixtape to play before it started, and Bex asked me to send it over (see below). She also mentioned your need for video, which is perfect because I've been pestering her about helping you with it you since we met haha!
Hi I'm Joee Irwin. I'm an interdisciplinary artist. I was educated in film and video at Columbia College in Chicago when This American Life was still there, it was my gateway to the wonderful world of NPR!
After school I had a life as DJ and music producer. This beefed up my audio knowledge and influenced my visual process in new and interesting ways - an artistic project like making film could be approached more like making a track than using traditional models. It also left me with an excellent sense of timing.
Over the years I've learned to wear lots of hats and vary techniques in order to capably make things regardless of budget and crew - this is especially useful in the age of social media.
Some of my skills include: creative collaboration, concept development, writing, directing, videography (shooting + editing), audio recording + editing, motion graphics, graphic design, storyboarding. I use the Adobe Suite, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, as well as arts and crafts.
There is so much WNYC could be doing with video and I think your audience would feel comforted and motivated by the engagement, especially now, with everything that's going on.
Would love to meet with you, hope to hear from you soon!
-Joee

This is a collection of videos I've made for the yoga studio's Instagram.
Here is link to lots of miscellaneous work, with range and hopefully get an idea to the limitless possibilities!

This is a yoga video I made for people who struggle with doing yoga.
This is hosted on my website, joeeirwin.com, lots more to see. Much of my personal work is stylized, but it's not all I do.
